Il s’agit ici d’une rénovation légère d’une résidence secondaire, dont l’impact est tant esthétique que fonctionnel et qui redonne à ce chalet la simplicité, le confort et le charme d’une cabane dans les montagnes.
Following the topography of the sloping ground, the living space of this chalet from the 70’s is spread over two levels, each facing the breathtaking view of the Valaisan Alps.
The living space with kitchen, a bedroom and a small bathroom are located on the upper floor. The walls and the mansard ceiling of this floor have been sanded and have regained the natural color of the wood. The partitions that separated the kitchen from the living space were demolished in order to open it to the living room, to create continuity and to enlarge it. The small kitchen was rearranged and modernized and the floor on the first floor was covered with a large porcelain stoneware.
This is a light renovation of a second home, whose impact is both aesthetic and functional, and which the simplicity, comfort and charm of a mountain cabin.
